Logistics Broker seeking a Full-Time HOTSHOT Dispatcher to work in our office in North Houston.
In order to be considered for this position YOU MUST have hotshot trucking dispatch experience!!
MUST UNDERSTAND THE HOTSHOT BUSINESS.
This IS NOT a remote position. MUST live within 15 miles from I-45 and Cypress Creek Pkwy
BILINGUAL AND FLUENT IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH IS A PLUS,
but not a deal breaker if you have hotshot dispatch experience.
If you are BILINGUAL, you MUST be able to quickly read and thoroughly comprehend English.
This is non-negotiable for this position.
We broker a very HIGH VOLUME of HOTSHOT loads.
HOTSHOT = Quick-Fast-Hurry
**Consideration will be given to Asset Based Dispatchers and people who are familiar with working in a fast paced environment.
This is a super fast-paced HIGH VOLUME business.
In order to be successful you must THRIVE in a fast-paced HIGH VOLUME environment.
If you need constant direction, a clearly defined role(s), and duties, please do not apply. A-Line is not for you. Initiative and self-motivation are requirements here as they should be for any job.
Responsibilities:
This position will dispatch truck drivers for loads provided by our Customers and provide necessary communications to complete the task. FOLLOW-UP SKILLS ARE IMPERATIVE.
Candidates must be computer literate and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
YOU MUST BE A MULTI-TASKER.
If Bilingual, fluent in speaking, reading and writing in both ENGLISH and Spanish is REQUIRED!
Job Requirements:
● Schedule Monday - Friday - Full-Time - 40 hours +
(Specific hours to be determined based off needs of office coverage needs.)
**This IS NOT a 9-5 job. Our office is open 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
You must be available to work during these hours as needed.
You will be on call one weekend per month
Primary Job Focus:
● Dispatch Carriers to satisfy Customer loads.
● The ability to follow through the steps of dispatching orders, and assuring the loads are delivered on time every time which includes constant communication and coordination with the drivers.
**You are not just answering the phone and putting a carrier on a load.
For this position, you will be expected to understand and follow through the load from beginning to completion.
This also entails handling any issues with the loads as they arise.
● 99% of the day is spent on the phone answering a HIGH VOLUME of calls.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while under pressure is a MUST.
● Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
● Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
● Strong organizational and planning skills.
● Proficiency in MS Office
Compensation:
● Salary = Hourly Pay
Negotiable and determined upon the experience you bring to the table.
