Service technician needed for growing off-highway power transmission service center in Miami/Fort Lauderdale FL area.

Company specializes in the sales, service and support of off highway powershift transmissions, commercial and pleasure craft marine transmissions, power take off units, axles, torque converters, transfer cases and pump drives. The markets we serve include customers within the Construction, Marine, Irrigation, Agricultural, Forestry, Oil/Gas and Railroad industries.

Technicians will learn the business "ground up" with hands on training, assistance and factory schooling for the right individuals.

Duties required (but not limited to):

* Failure analysis of hydraulic transmissions, axles or related products (as mentioned above)

* Teardown, inspection/assessment and cleaning of units and parts in for repair

* Development of accurate parts list for rebuild/repair

* Buildup of transmission/axle/powertrain component unit with new parts

* Testing of rebuilt/repaired unit and complete painting, packaging and preparing the unit for shipment

* Field service calls consisting of on-site troubleshooting, repair, removal of failed units and installation of repaired units

* Troubleshooting of electronic components, controllers and systems

* Assisting in shop cleaning, shipping/receiving, physical inventory and other duties as necessary

Skill Requirements (but not limited to):

* Ability to read/understand technical mechanical drawings; electrical schematics; hydraulic diagrams/circuits

* Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems of powertrain systems

* Highly detail oriented

* Good communication skills: verbal/listening, email and phone

* Great interpersonal skills, especially dealing with customers and employees

* Logical and sound decision making skill in selecting appropriate service needs in given situation

* Administering safe work practices

* Professional attitude, appearance and work ethic

Job Conditions/Requirements (but not limited to):

* 24 hour on call assistance at times

* Travel - some overnight stays on occasion for training, meetings or customer visits

* Possible international travel (passport may be required)

* Valid driver's license

* Successful completion of background check and drug screen

* Must have own set of tools, with inventory listing for insurance purposes
