turn of the century early 1900s Americana antique dinner table
was in the White House turn of the century
own part of American history
Bought in 1978-79 in a Christie's auction
there is no proof of the table having been in the White house as no documentation was kept and
the pertinent president or White House room are unknown
the table is antique turn of the century New English style
In excellent condition given its age, including some decolorization, scratches and creaky sound from under-table expansion mechanism
The table is otherwise is very sturdy and in perfect functioning order and I used it form many official dinners
very elegant for family, friends or stately dinners
has been in the family for years
