James Beard nominated and Top Chef Season 18 Finalist Chef Shota Nakajima's Taku is a little slice of Osaka in Seattle. We serve a menu of Osaka-influenced street food with a karaage focus in an open, guest-facing kitchen so willingness to maintain a positive attitude is a must! We pride ourselves on culinary excellence, technique, and organization, and are a systems-heavy restaurant which will frequently rotate menus and offerings with a heavy lean on team collaboration in these decisions.

Currently, we are looking to expand our Back of House team as we gear up for the upcoming busy season, and we are looking to fill a variety of schedules, both part time and full time. Candidates must have weekend availability.

Ideal candidates have experience with knife work and high volume service, but we are willing to train the right candidates. We seek motivated, reliable, and eager-to-learn cooks to join our team and learn from our diverse leadership group, with a variety of culinary backgrounds and Michelin level experience. Employees begin at $17 per hour, and rates can rise from there dependent on experience. All employees participate in a tip pool, and split tips evenly based on time worked.
