Position Title: ServiceNow Configuration Specialist – Full Time or 6 Month Contract (Move to Victoria or Remote)

Primary Accountabilities:
Our retained client has an opportunity for a ServiceNow Configuration Specialist or other service management tools. This role will support broad adoption of the Service Management platform by end users and clients across our retained client’s organization, and is the key to transforming service delivery.
Your role will be to provide technical expertise for integrations, develop sound technical solutions, and ensure proactive communication to clients and internal staff for the ITSM platform.
• As a ServiceNow Configuration Specialist you will need to be the administrator and be responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and support of the enterprise ServiceNow platform
• Participates in regular sprints by developing and testing forms, workflows, and other customizations
• Configure / Customize ServiceNow including: Request Management Workflows, Service Portal, Service Catalog, Client scripts, and Business Rules
• Configures and supports workflows in ServiceNow including: Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management
• Updates forms and workflows for the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Performs day-to-day maintenance, administration, support, and enhancements to the ServiceNow platform
• Develops integration components in support of orchestration and automation
• Maintain instance integrity & security based on ServiceNow best practices
• Liaises with stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities related to ITSM
• Recommends solutions to enable the achievement of organizational goals
• Provide estimates of size, effort, and duration for planned development activities
• Participates in service management related development work on small-to-medium scale projects
• Participates in reviews, in collaboration with the other team members and stakeholders, to ensure the quality and data accuracy within the platform
• Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and pre-released ServiceNow features
• Ensures implementations are in line with ServiceNow and ITSM best practices
Education & Experience:
• Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in Computer Technology
• 4 years of related experience
• Configuration/Customization experience with ServiceNow or other platforms
Nice to Have:
• Development experience with: HTML/CSS, REST, JavaScript and JSON is considered an asset
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL
• Knowledge of ITSM software including: Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Knowledge Management
• Knowledge of application development principles and practices, including Agile Development
• Basic knowledge of the principles, practices and tools of project management
• Ability to communicate concisely, both verbal and written at a level consistent with the audience’s level of understanding
• Ability to produce and understand technical specification and business process documents
• Risk management, business continuity, change management, accountability
• Strong organization and people skills
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines over competing priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills, listening skills, telephone manner
• Ability to work well both in teams and independently
