Position Title: Data Architect (Oracle) – Full Time or 6 Month Contract (Move to Victoria or Remote)
Reports To: IT Infrastructure Manager

Education & Experience:
Degree from an accredited college or university, with major coursework in systems analysis, information systems, computer science or a related field, and have experience successfully implementing and supporting enterprise applications.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
We are looking for a Data Architect to join our retained client’s IT team. This is an excellent opportunity to continue your career in a challenging and team-oriented environment in a much sought after location.
The Data Architect is also expected to be a leader and a mentor, capable of exercising influence through teamwork, to communicate technical concepts at different levels of abstraction considering a number of perspectives, and to be knowledgeable in multiple areas of technology.
You must be a hands-on problem solver with the ability to step up and take initiative, and to methodically analyze and resolve technical challenges. You must possess a desire to learn, adopt new technologies, conduct research and development activities to improve technical skills and keep abreast of relevant technologies and architecture methodologies.
Excellent technical writing and presentation skills are mandatory.
Must Have Skills:
• Understanding of Oracle ODI, Database, OID, BIP
• Keep up with upgrades to the Oracle Suite of products
• Experience successfully implementing and supporting enterprise applications
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodology and Agile framework
• Experience working in a government environment and in the health industry is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Nice to Have Skills:
• Agile/SAFe experience will be an asset
• Knowledge or experience with ITIL
• Knowledge of multi-platform ETL processes (i.e.: Windows, z/OS, Linux)
• AWS, Azure, or Google certifications or other industry recognized architectural certifications is an asset
