Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time – Afternoon shift.

Location: Calgary, BC.

Salary:
$43.00 Base rate
$45.50 With CVIP Inspection License
$ 1.60 Shift premium between 5pm – 6am

Requirements:
On Road Red Seal or Alberta Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Commercial Vehicle Inspection certificate ( Eligible )
Valid class 1 with air endorsement operators license is preferred, will consider class 3 with air endorsement.
Dedication to safety; a safety leader to help drive a strong safety culture
Working knowledge in use of hand tools is required
Strong computer and mathematical skillset
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, reliability and flexibility while working as part of the team
Background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned
Diagnose vehicle failures and perform mechanical repairs and replacements as required
Respond to local road calls and/or coordinate service support as necessary
Maintain work area appearance and safety
Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
Leverage predictive diagnostic software to aid in eliminating vehicle breakdowns
Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments; as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks and hoists
Maintain accurate records of daily activities through asset management system
Complete all necessary documents, including eHOS and electronic vehicle inspection records
Other duties and tasks assigned by Fleet Supervisor/Manager
