Food Service Supervisor
(NOC 62020 – Food service supervisors)

JOB DETAILS
Salary: $17.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Morning
Start date: Starts as soon as possible

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years (supervisory experience does not have to be in the food service or hospitality industry but at least in retail sales or related occupation).
Work setting: Restaurant
Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Establish methods to meet work schedules
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies
• Ensure food service and quality control
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Prepare and submit reports
• Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
• Establish work schedules
Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people
Workers Supervised: Food service counter attendants and food preparers, Kitchen and food service helpers
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Walking, Physically demanding
